Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 5 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1 egg
- 1 cup Milkman Milk (reconstituted)
- Optional: 1 cup dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, etc.)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a small bowl, whisk together egg and Milkman Milk; stir into crumb mixture just until moistened.
- If desired, fold in dried fruit.
- Turn onto a floured surface; knead gently 10-12 times.
- Pat into a 1-inch thick round. Cut into wedges and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
