Milkman Milk Scones


  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 5 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup Milkman Milk (reconstituted)
  • Optional: 1 cup dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, etc.)


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together egg and Milkman Milk; stir into crumb mixture just until moistened.
  5. If desired, fold in dried fruit.
  6. Turn onto a floured surface; knead gently 10-12 times.
  7. Pat into a 1-inch thick round. Cut into wedges and place on a greased baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm.
